Since the introduction of the traditional Koranic school (daara) in Senegal, teaching techniques, pedagogical methods and effective didactic tools have been applied by the teaching marabouts of the country with convincing results. However, most of the research focuses on the birth and evolution of traditional Islamic education centers, from Fouta Toro to Gambia. Thus, the teaching-learning tools, techniques and didactic methods remain, generally, very little studied. This work aims to highlight the experiences of Senegalese seriñ daara in this field. These methods are purely national and local, conceived, thought out, codified and adapted to our socio-cultural and linguistic realities, in a rational manner, according to the geographical
environment, to facilitate the understanding and transmission of knowledge to the talibés. Based on a corpus of data from a survey conducted in several regions of Senegal, this article proposes a description and then an analysis of this didactic and pedagogical model specific to the daaras.
