The following article aims to place parody, on the one hand, within the general framework of the poetics, and on the other hand, as a circumscribed pratice of writing with polyphonic, dialogic or intertextual fragrances imitating, destructuring, strenghtening, perennially authorized texts (hypotexts). Levantado do Chão by the Portuguese Nobel, José Saramago (1922-2010), hinge around the saga of a popular and rural family of the XX th century in Portugal – the Mau-Tempo -, in accordance with a main theme: the representation of the phenomenon of exclusion that affects them. The work belongs to the long tradition of polyphonic novels of the country not far from the postmodern practice. The authorial authority represents there, cites texts from various horizons (literary, historical, biblical). Some considerations from various fields of the knowledge (linguistics, poetics, history and literature) feed, by the mean of a rich and pluridisciplinary dialogue, some original reflexions, appearing, here, in this article.
