RÔLE DE LA GÉOGRAPHIE DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT DANS L’ÉMERGENCE DE LA GÉOGRAPHIE DU RISQUE AU DÉPARTEMENT DE GÉOGRAPHIE DE L’UNIVERSITÉ CHEIKH ANTA DIOP DE DAKAR
Keywords:
Risk / Vulnerability / Adaptation / Geography of the environment.Abstract
The purpose of this article is to study the relationship between environmental geography and risk geography at Cheikh Anta DIOP University in Dakar. The analysis was based on a dual approach. The first, purely statistical, consisted in listing the geography theses of environmental geography supported at UCAD and in France on Senegal from the UCAD digital library and theses.fr. The second, more analytical, consisted in their scientific exploitation in order to show their relation to the concepts and methods of the geography of risk. This methodology has made it possible to establish the strong dispersion of thesis both by the defending universities and the territories studied, and the omnipresence of the risk organized around two categories of approach: the single-factor approach and the interaction approach.
