Abstract

The reform of the technical education and vocational training sector and the health situation linked to COVID 19 demand an increasing use of ICT for educational purposes. The general objective of this study is to analyze the uses of ICTs by trainers in vocational training establishments in the city of Abidjan. The data were collected from public and private technical education and vocational training establishments. The study population is made up of teachers and trainees (learners). The data collection instruments used are the questionnaire and the interview guide. The results indicate that teachers and trainees have ICT equipment at their disposal. However, more than 60% of trainees believe that teachers do not use them for carrying out teaching - learning activities. This low use of ICT is explained, according to the teachers, by the existence of many obstacles.
