LE SYSTÉME ÉDUCATIF IVOIRIEN ET LA PROBLÉMATIQUE DU DÉVELOPPEMENT

Abstract

Following its independence, Côte d'Ivoire, which is a developing country, made education the priority of priorities. Indeed, the educational system inherited from colonisation was far from satisfying the socio-economic and cultural realities of the
country. The education system had to be adapted to the multiple needs of Ivorian society. From then on, this education system was favoured by political decisionmakers. Thus, it provided qualified manpower in the various sectors of activity, thus serving as a lever for social, economic and cultural development. Agriculture, the country's economic powerhouse, receives very little from its education system.
