Education for sustainable development requires the development of teaching approaches that most favor the emancipation of subjects instead of their acculturation and confinement. Thus, based on experimentation with the A3E system), in the
specific context of Burkina Faso, this article demonstrates how to educate for sustainable development at school. Based on action research which consisted in implementing eco-citizen ethics education workshops in two primary schools. The results reveal that developing social and ethical skills in school-aged children requires the creation of frameworks and conditions that invite him to learn to think for himself.
