Abstract

On facts analysis, the integration of citizenship and peace teachings at school does not seem to slow down conflicts among pupils. Thus, the present study aims to analyze the effective capacity of these teachings to develop the skills necessary for the conflicts constructive management by the pupils themselves. To that end, 295 pupils from the grammar school of Yopougon Andokoi were selected by the technique of "beam" sampling and interviewed by a questionnaire. The results indicate this courses’ shortcomings relating to the pupils’ capacities of preventing the conflicts against their peers, and also their autonomous and peaceful management of these conflicts.
